Food Establishment Inspection Reports

 

The Andrew County Health Department conducts food service inspections under the authority of the Andrew County Food Service Ordinance. This Ordinance sets forth standards by which sources of food, food service establishments, food service personnel, and food service equipment are regulated to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Critical items relate directly to factors which lead to Foodborne illness, these items must receive immediate action. Non-critical items relate to the maintenance of food operations and cleanliness, these items are to be corrected by the next regular inspection.

Community Hall 325 S Holt, Fillmore, MO 64449. 7/1/2014.  Routine. Critical Violation: Mouse droppings found under counters. Non-Critical Violations: Exhaust fan dirty, stained ceiling tile, bug fragments in light shields, spider webs on vent covers, paint peeling on wall, no cooking thermometer and floor area behind cabinets dirty.

Gina’s Café 674 Main St., Cosby, MO 64439. 7/1/2014. Routine. No critical violations. Non-Critical Violations: Fan dirty, floor under equipment dirty and daylight seen through sliding door (unprotected outer opening from pests)

Union Star Station 9031 U.S. Hwy 169, Union Star, MO 64494. 7/1/2014. Routine. Critical Violations: Expired food permit, food contact surfaces dirty, such as: lid holder, counter for cups, food container shelving, utensil bin, no date-marking on potentially hazardous food and infrequent cleaning of food contact surface. Non-Critical Violations: Shelving dusty, exposed wood on counter top, broken door hinge, broken cooler seal, sanitizer rag stored improperly, no hair restraints, floor dirty, refrigerator dirty, prep cooler dirty, food items at salad bar not covered by sneeze guard and no sanitizer test kit.   

Union Star Station 9031 U.S. Hwy 169, Union Star, MO 64494. 7/15/2014. Re-inspection. Critical Violation: Food contact shelf dirty- corrected on site. Non-Critical Violations: Store shelving dusty, broken door hinge, broken cooler seal, improper storage of sanitizer rags and no hair restraint.

Bev’s Cakes with Class, 17257 Hwy 71, St Joseph, MO 64505. 7/3/2014. Routine. Critical Violation: Food contact surface dirty (cupcake pan). No non-critical violations.

Greenhils IGA 205 W Main, Savannah, MO 64485. 7/10/2014. Re-inspection. All critical violations corrected. Non-Critical Violations: Dirty non-food contact surfaces including: windowsills, floor, shelving and hand-sink.

St Joseph Country Club 50 Ridgeland Rd, Country Club, MO 64505. 7/10/2014. Re-inspection. All critical violations corrected. Non-Critical Violations: Paint cracking, floor under equipment dirty, stained ceiling tile and hand-sink used improperly.

Senor Barrigas 107 W Hwy 71, Savannah, MO 64485. 7/10/214. Re-inspection. All violations corrected.

Jesse’s Last Stop 12751 Country  Place Dr, St Joseph, MO 64505. 7/29/2014. Routine. Critical Violations: Dirty food contact surfaces: microwave, nozzle area of pop machine, lid bins and ice machine; also excessive flies, no 7-day date-mark on potentially hazardous foods, no employee on-site with food handler card and opened food item with risk of contamination. Non-Critical Violations: Dirty non food contact surfaces: bottom of cooler, cabinets, condiment bins, shelving, fan-guards, exhaust fan and ceiling tile; also dirty sanitizer water, improper storage of sanitizer rag, no sanitizer test kit, no store label on ice bagged on premises and no hot water at one hand-sink.

Savannah Pool Concession Stand 1201 W Chestnut, Savannah, MO 64485. 7/29/2014. Routine. Critical Violations: Microwave dirty, no 7-day date-mark on potentially hazardous food, refrigerator in temperature danger zone, opened food item with risk of contamination, refrigerator dirty, unlabeled toxin and no designated hand sink. Non-Critical Violations: opened food item without risk of contamination, food item not stored 6inches off floor, no sanitizer test kit and exhaust fan dirty.
