Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Food Program

The WIC program supports women, infants, and children by offering nutrition education, health promotion, and supplemental food benefits at no cost. Our mission is to help families build healthier lives through personalized guidance, essential resources, and referrals.

Who Can Qualify for WIC?

  • Pregnant women/teens
  • Breastfeeding women/teens
  • Women/teens within six months postpartum
  • Infants
  • Children up to age five

Eligibility Requirements

WIC is available to families whose gross income does not exceed 185% of the federal poverty level. For updated income guidelines, visit the Missouri WIC Income Guidelines.

How to Apply

To determine eligibility, schedule an appointment with our office. Be prepared to provide:

  • Family income documentation
  • Proof of residency and identity
  • Information about past and current health
  • Basic health screenings (including height, weight, and a blood test for most participants)
  • A conversation with a health professional about nutrition and health needs


Eligible participants will receive electronic benefits to purchase approved food items at authorized retailers.

WIC Hours & Services

Services are available by appointment only, except on Wednesdays.

Hours:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8 AM - 4 PM
  • Third Saturday of the Month: 9 AM - 12 PM

Additional Support

Happy Bottoms Program

We are proud to partner with the Kansas City-based non-profit organization, Happy Bottoms, to provide essential diaper assistance to families in Andrew County. Through this program, families enrolled in Andrew County WIC can receive 75 free diapers or 50 free pull-ups per month for each child under the age of 4.



To enroll, simply fill out an in-person form at the end of your next WIC appointment. Additionally, Happy Bottoms helps families assess readiness for potty training and offers free potty training kits to those who apply.
