Food Establishment Inspection Reports

 

The Andrew County Health Department conducts food service inspections under the authority of the Andrew County Food Service Ordinance. This Ordinance sets forth standards by which sources of food, food service establishments, food service personnel, and food service equipment are regulated to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Critical items relate directly to factors which lead to Foodborne illness, these items must receive immediate action. Non-critical items relate to the maintenance of food operations and cleanliness, these items are to be corrected by the next regular inspection.

Savannah Pool Concessions. 1201 W Chestnut, Savannah, MO 64485. Routine. 06/16/2020. Critical: Inside ice machine dirty. Non-Critical: Floor paint chipping- must be smooth and easily cleanable.

Critical: No sanitizer in sanitizer water- corrected, microwave dirty, inside ice machine dirty, mouse droppings found, no food safety training. Non-Critical: Some shelving dirty, some walls dirty, floor under equipment dirty, leaking hand-sink faucet, no hair restraints used during food prep, cold unit floor has paint peeling, exhaust fan dirty.

Critical: Ready to eat potentially hazardous foods on counter above 41degrees, some kept in ice that had melted; leaking under pop machine in cabinets on BIB’s- pop machine turned off until problem is resolved, cabinets will be cleaned and damaged product container discarded. Non-Critical: Front hand-sink back flowing into kitchen and coming out of drain, kitchen hand-sink and ware-washing sink leaking at faucet areas, several cabinet hinges broken, some cabinets dirty, display cooler shelving has dried food spillage.

Critical: Utensil containers dirty, single service containers dirty, microwave dirty, cracked bins for food contact items, no sanitizer in sanitizer water, inside ice machine dirty. Non-Critical: Cleaning rags not stored in sanitizer, exhaust fans in restrooms dirty, no cooking thermometer found.

Critical: Fan dirty and turned on, inside prep cooler dirty- being used as a food contact surface, inside microwave dirty- corrected, wooden butcher black being used as a food contact surface, sanitizer too strong, rolling cart dirty- being used as a food contact surface, a pop nozzle dirty, inside ice machine dirty. Non-Critical: Outside of butter container dirty, inside cold unit dirty, seal torn on cold unit, inside and outside of cold unit dirty, shelving dirty, walls and floor joints dirty, walk in cooler seal dirty.

The Snack Shac. 10543 County Road 375, St Joseph, MO 64505. Routine. 06/26/2020. Non-Critical: unsealed wood- must be sealed to prevent bacterial growth in wood. –hot water tank stopped working day before inspection, new tank-less water heater bought and on premises, appointment made for later that day for installation.

Rosendale Garden Park (Rosendale Church), 9976 HWY 48, Rosendale, MO 64483. Summer Feeding Program Inspection. 06/28/2020. Critical: Splash-less bleach used for sanitizing-  chemical compounds that thicken splash-less bleach eliminate sanitizing agents commonly found in bleach.- corrected. Non-Critical: No sanitizer test strips- corrected, dumpster lids open.
