Food Establishment Inspection Reports

 

The Andrew County Health Department conducts food service inspections under the authority of the Andrew County Food Service Ordinance. This Ordinance sets forth standards by which sources of food, food service establishments, food service personnel, and food service equipment are regulated to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Critical items relate directly to factors which lead to Foodborne illness, these items must receive immediate action. Non-critical items relate to the maintenance of food operations and cleanliness, these items are to be corrected by the next regular inspection.

Avenue City R-9, 18069 U.S. HWY 169, Cosby 64436. Routine. 02/18/2020. Critical: Cooking surface from weekend event left with food residue- must be cleaned within 4 hours to prevent bacterial growth. Non-Critical: No hot water pressure at rear hand-sink.

Helena Elementary, 21080 Osage St, Helena, MO 64459. Routine. 02/18/2020. Non-Critical: Some floor dirty, dumpster lid open.

North Andrew R-6, 9120 HWY 48, Rosendale, MO 64483. Routine. 02/25/2020. Critical: Mouse droppings and mouse in trap found- removed, licensed pest control documentation provided. Non-Critical: Fan dirty, cold unit dirty- corrected.

John Glenn Elementary, 12401 County Road 438, Country Club, MO 64505. Routine. 02/25/2020. Critical: Sanitizer too strong, improper mixture of chemical agents. Non-Critical: Ceiling vents dirty, some floor areas dirty.

Savannah Family Restaurant, 302 N US HWY 71, Savannah, MO 64485. Routine. 02/25/2020. Critical: Unlabeled toxins, chipped serving dishes, no date-marking on ready to eat potentially hazardous foods, dirty pop nozzles, milk shake mixer dirty, unapproved pest control devices, damaged food storage containers, condiments requiring refrigeration after opening not being refrigerated, dirty utensils intermingled in clean utensil containers, oven dirty, raw meat products stored above ready to eat food products, no proof of food safety training, cold units dirty, tooth pick container (for sandwiches) dirty, cold unit temping above 41 degrees, bare hand contact with ready to eat foods, dirty non-food items stored on top of food contact surfaces, sanitizer function of dish-machine not functioning, can opener dirty, ice machine dirty, no air gap at dish machine drain. Critical: Can opener dirty- corrected, non-cleanable surface used for utensils, dirty pop nozzles (currently out of order- does not believe it will be turned on for the season). Non-Critical: No cold water at hand-sink, dirty cabinet.

Amazonia Elementary, 845 6th St., Amazonia, MO 64421. Routine. 03/10/2020. Critical: Several pot holders no longer cleanable due to being damaged.

Savannah High School, 701 E Williams, Savannah, MO 64485. Routine. 03/10/2020. Critical: Mouse droppings found. Non-Critical: Paint chipping on shelves, some floors dirty, clean dishes being hand dried, floor vent dirty, shelving not at least 6 inches off the floor for proper cleaning, dirty fan-guards- corrected.

Minnie Cline Elementary, 808 W Price, Savannah, MO 64485. Routine. 03/10/2020. Non-Critical: Some floors dirty.
