Zika virus is mostly spread through mosquito bites, but it can also be spread through sex.
To protect yourself and your family, take a few simple steps:
- Know before you go - check out this map for areas of Zika virus activity
- Use an EPA-registered insect repellent during your trip
- Avoid mosquito bites for tree weeks after returning from your trip.
- To avoid spreading Zika through sex, use a condom.
