Food Establishment Inspection Reports

 

The Andrew County Health Department conducts food service inspections under the authority of the Andrew County Food Service Ordinance. This Ordinance sets forth standards by which sources of food, food service establishments, food service personnel, and food service equipment are regulated to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Critical items relate directly to factors which lead to Foodborne illness, these items must receive immediate action. Non-critical items relate to the maintenance of food operations and cleanliness, these items are to be corrected by the next regular inspection.

February 2017 Food Establishment Inspection Report

Savannah Mart, 305 N HWY 71, Savannah, MO 64485. Re-inspection x2. 02/03/2017. Non-Critical: Bathroom has no self-closing device, no sanitizer test strips.

Subway, 501A N HWY 71, Savannah, MO 64485. Re-inspection x2. 02/03/2017. Non-Critical:  Hand dryer in bathroom has peeled paint and it rusting- not smooth and easily cleanable and missing floor tile.

Union Star, 9031 U.S. HWY 169, Union Star, MO 64494. Routine/ Complaint. 02/21/2017. Critical: Dead roaches found throughout, milk shake mixer dirty, inside refrigerator has standing water inside- contaminating food items, utensil bin dirty, dead mouse found in trap- taken to dumpster, some potentially hazardous foods have no 7-day date-marking- corrected, mouse droppings found. Non-Critical: Fan dirty- not turned on, floors dirty, no sanitizer test strips, damaged floor tiles, cold unit flooring rusted and bubbling, dirty fan-guards, broken hinge on cold unit, dirty cabinets.

Senor Barrigas, 107 W HWY 71, Savannah, MO 64485. Routine. 02/21/2017. Critical: Milk has no 7-day date-marking, dicer dirty- corrected, microwave dirty, cold unit temping above 41degrees, mouse dropping found, insufficient amount of staff with food safety training, latest inspection not posted. Non-Critical: Cold unit has broken seal, some floors dirty, wall and ceiling vent dirty, back door has daylight showing through- outer openings unprotected from pests, cold unit dirty, broken light-shield, insufficient lighting in bathroom.
