Food Establishment Inspection Reports

 

The Andrew County Health Department conducts food service inspections under the authority of the Andrew County Food Service Ordinance. This Ordinance sets forth standards by which sources of food, food service establishments, food service personnel, and food service equipment are regulated to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Critical items relate directly to factors which lead to Foodborne illness, these items must receive immediate action. Non-critical items relate to the maintenance of food operations and cleanliness, these items are to be corrected by the next regular inspection.

Fairy Breadmother Bakery and Café, 12777 Country Place Dr., Country Club, MO 64505. Pre-Opening. 09/27/2016. Non-Critical: No sanitizer test strips- corrected.

The Ugly Duck, 200 S Lake Rd, Rosendale, MO 64483. Pre-Opening. 09/29/2016. Non-Critical: Some floors dirty- corrected, broken inner- window, dirty light-shield- corrected, inside tree stumps dirty.

Sweet Emotions Donut Home of the Savages, 110 S 5th, Savannah, MO 64485. Pre-Opening. 09/21/2016. Non-Critical: Counter dusty- corrected, floor bubbling up in some places, door unprotected from pests, window ledge dirty.

Greenhills IGA, 205 W Main, Savannah, MO 64485. Routine. 09/06/2016. Critical: Several coolers temping above 41degrees, excessive flies and full fly strips, cut produce not cleaned properly, equipment unkempt and in disrepair in manner that may cause physical and bacterial contamination to food product, food products being used past discard date, slicer dirty, sanitizer too strong and has much debris, improper date-marking, cans dented in areas that may cause sickness. Non-Critical: Stained ceiling tiles, dirty cold unit shelving, holes in ceiling tiles, dirty store shelving, hand sink being used for other purposes than handwashing, floors dirty, torn cold unit seal, cooler walls dirty, piping dirty, fan dirty (not on).

Critical: Food Establishment Permit expired, no staff with food safety training, cold units not holding temperature at 41 degrees or below, potentially hazardous foods not being held in cold units to stay at 41degrees or below, several ready to eat potentially hazardous foods have no 7-day date-mark, several food items being used past 7-day date-mark, food items stored in manner that does not protect against contamination, toxic agent not in its original container unlabeled, utensil containers with utensils in them dirty, mouse droppings found throughout facility- food contact surfaces, non-food contact surfaces and contaminating food product, handwashing and glove wearing proper procedure not being used, mixer dirty, cooking pans dirty- stored with clean equipment, clean dishes area dirty, food left open over-night on counter- risk of contamination due to pest issue, waffle iron dirty, ovens dirty, sugar bin left open with signs of physical contamination, potato dicer dirty, broken cutting board, can opener dirty, buttermilk used for breading being used for both chicken and fish, dirty rag used to dry container before using for food product,  food products stored uncovered in cold unit with dirty fan-guards, slicer cleaned using unsanitary methods, dirty clean dish cart, microwave dirty.
